Why PLR Article’s Are The Original Fail Blog

OK I will admit that when I first heard of the concept of PLR – Private Label Rights,  it was sounding like a good idea. I mean if you think about it for a second how easy it would be to post articles at will. That would be an instant cure for writers block and would still give you quality content right? WRONG!!

Now I am not going to sit here and say that I have not tried it out for myself. I was a victim of lazy blogging like many others that just won’t admit that they used or still do use PLR articles. But the one thing that I realized is that it really can hurt you in the long run and I will explain.

Google Will  Kick Your Ass!

The first thing I do know is SEO is of great importance to me if I want to get my page rank up. I am really trying to keep my blog DerekBingham(Dot)(Com) in good standings with Google.

Right now I have a page rank 3 and working toward getting it up to 4 and beyond. The sad thing is if you use tactics like PLR articles it could trigger Google bots to drop your rank and slap you right in the Kisser. Ouch!

This is true and could happen if you duplicate articles & post try to get them indexed in Google’s search engines. I don’t think it even matters who post the article first. What Google looks for  I think  is just original content which is the backbone of the internet anyway right?

Plagiarism Is Not Cool

If You think about it who really respects anyone who is uses tactics like  plagiarism to write content? If you are thinking people will respect you as a writer or blogger then think twice.

The one thing that I know is that people are intelligent and will NOT RESPECT YOU if you steal or use cheap PLR junk!

Now don’t get me  wrong if you hire someone to ghost write for you then I am not talking about you. I am not even trying to through stones at anyone who still uses PLR Article’s. I am just giving you guys a heads up because I myself did not know why I should have stayed clear and just want you to be aware.

Fresh Original Content Rocks!

I can only assume that when people read your blogs it is because you have something cool to offer. It may be your article swagger or your attitude in your podcast or vlogs.

It may be your ability to cause article riots or just simply because your the Internets favorite jerk and we all love a jerk that is funny right?

(Don’t act like you don’t like a little online drama! LOL )  :)

But on a serious note, I just feel it is about branding yourself and discovering the real you. I feel that you are the package that attracts the crowd and that is what separates you from the rest and makes you unique.

My Bottom Line & Final Thoughts

I am not really a writer to be honest and I really suck at big time. But being a professional is not really that important I feel at building your credibility online. I have seen some of today’s biggest 6 figure and beyond Gurus getting major paper and respect online with worst writing skills than mine. LOL

It is just about the content and the ability to keep your audience engaged on your topics. So the next time you think about buying cheap PLR Articles I hope you think about what I reveled to  you today.

Build your brand, keep it original and don’t be a lazy blogger. If you want respect online then it has to be done old school guys and there is just no way around it.

YOU HAVE TO EARN YOUR RESPECT!!

I know it is my opinion but  if you write your own stuff people will respect you 10 times more. Let me know what you guys think and post your comments below.  Peace

Hi, you are definitely entitled to your opinion, but the Google page rank issue simply isn’t true. Your rank is not dropped when you have duplicate content. I researched this and wrote an article about the actual impact of duplicates:

PLR articles are inexpensive and it only takes a few minutes to customize them a little so that they are more unique. They are a huge time and money saver for anyone who needs content and doesn’t have a huge budget for content writing.

It is also not plagiarism- you have the right to use them. Plagiarism literally means that you have used something hat you don’t have the right to use. If you buy PLR rights, you do have that right.

Thanks for your comment and the lesson on plagiarism. LOL :)
Like I said it is my opinion that you should not take credit for work you did not do. The way I see it is if I call this my blog and use someone else to represent me then is it still considered my blog? I rather just write my own content and keep it real with my blog friends who expect nothing more than organic content I wrote. Remember I said that I tried PLR but to be honest after I posted it I just felt kind of cheap and dirty.

If you need a little more information on how duplicate content could affect your credibility with major search engines then simply Google “Duplicate Content Filters.”

It is like spam as far as the bots see it and will get you dropped quicker than a blind date with missing teeth and bad hygiene. :)

While I wholeheartedly agree that unique quality content is the vital, high quality modified PLR can be used to supplement or “kick-start” a blog or project.

Yes this is true but I still feel that your personality is the driving force behind your readers. :)

Hey Derek ~ I have never used PLR products for articles on my blog, I have always felt that I wanted the original content to come from me. But after reading Bella’s comment it had me thinking that maybe I should look into this and just see what I can do with it. I have a lot of video on my blog so would be a little harder I would imagine, but if you can fully customise the PLR article I am unsure why you would bother even using them or if customised enough what impact that would really have with Google or PR…. does that make sense? I mean I really need to look at this myself and purchase some PLR before I can really make a sound opinion or judgment don’t I???
