I could not think of a better example or subject to focus on other than myself in this video. You will see that I am putting my own personal goals into this episode to show accountability for my own life as an example. This lesson can be applied to business and all other things in anyone’s life who are seeking personal development.

Hey Derek – great to see you doing a video post! I tell you what I HATE fish but that Salmon looks sooooo good!
It is so good to see you on here being so open about what it is you are doing in your personal life, I think it can be hard to be so vulnerable especially when it comes to your weight. I am really looking forward to you keeping us up to date on how you are going with it all!!
I have been struggling the last few weeks with achieving some personal goals of mine, procrastinating and pretending to be busy but was really just spending a whole lot of time socialising on FB and what not keeping busy doing nothing! It all came back to me not taking things seriously and letting myself down, which honestly I think is the worst person that you can let down…. yourself! So I have developed a new plan and strategy surrounding my own personal commitment to kick my own butt into gear and making sure that its all about personal accountability.
Love your Tuesday posts…. even if they do make me hungry
cheers
Nat
Hey Derek. I know what it’s like losing weight. I lost 4 stone in about 5 months. It’s hard but once you find a routine it becomes so much easier. I feel a million times better now I’ve lost it. Stay motivated my friend, especially through the hard times! You can do it!
Hey James,
4 stone in 5 months is inspiring! I am working on my weight and who knows what stories I will have when my journey reaches it’s destination???
Hey Nat!!
Wow I love that statement “personal accountability.” It is the acceptance of our own faults that allow us to grow and not blaming others. I for one have blamed other things in the past for some of my failures but when I started to accept my mistakes that is when I developed progress. I guess it is like my weight loss journey and being honest about it. The way I look at life is we are not perfect but have a perfect chance for change right? So if we blow our chances off then we can only blame ourselves for not making an effort. So the way I look at life is I am going to push forward until I win each race I run in.
