eBay Fee Change Has Everyone Buzzing

OK I think eBay is finally getting it and is pulling back on their famous insertion fee increases. I guess after evaluating the massive mass of baby boomers hauling tail to self start up, has made eBay rethink their pricing scheme.
EBay has made a good decision in my eye to lower the insertion fees to the affordable price of FREE for folks starting auction prices under a $1.00. This is for non subscription based sellers and might very well be the answer to encourage more people to start listing with eBay again.
What is Derek’s opinion of this potential good modification of the companies overall customer outlook? The way I look at it is simple actually. Everyday I am finding more people like myself realizing that us sellers have more options today in 2010 for working at home than ever!
This is a crazy economy we live in, but the internet for some reason is not as affected as the brick and mortars financially. So with this being true and eBay understanding principles of surviving a competitive market. I can only assume that this tactic is smart business for keeping up with a expanding technology that is gaining way on slowly catching up with eBay’s profit margin. Yes that hits them right in the pocket so they had to step their game up. The good side of this is more people can eat now and it also promotes the true auctions to remain pure. I really think this helps us sellers and it also helps eBay remain on top so I see it as a win win for everyone.
I just hope that this is the first step of eBay’s understanding that us work at home folk are smarter today and deserve respect. So I will say eBay is off to a good start, lets hope it will continue.
