In business we are faced with many challenges as of what I call the nasty W’s.. They consist of the When, What, Will and Why. To make things for you a little clearer let me break it down for you. Most people want to start an online business but they are only focused on “WHEN”. Like for example “when will this business make me money?”  

Then the next most commonly expressed questions I get from clients are “Derek, WILL it take me long before I make money at this business?” I am always honest and to the point with my clients and keep it real by saying “You will see success with hard work, dedication and taking action”. That is about the time people that think get rich quick ideas work ask me “WHY I have to work so hard at an online business?”

I always quickly explain that online business is just like a brick and mortar meaning you have to still work hard at it and sometimes you may even work harder than a physical business and the end result will be success. That is about the time when most lazy people will always respond with almost always the same answer “WHAT?” Now I know that is a funny story but it is true and a fact that many of folks want instant online success. But I am sorry to pop your bubble and be honest with you my friends because the truth is that hard work and value feeds your wallet in this business. If you add value at the end of the day you will make money and long lasting customers.

Consistency Is The Key To Success

The one thing I have noticed about the internet is that it has an overwhelming amount of opportunities. Now this can be a good thing and also strangely enough, A BAD THING!! Let me explain what I am talking about here so you can be clear of my reasoning on this topic.
I search the internet on a daily basis for research purposes for my business. I often get a little distracted while surfing the web with online opportunities.

These opportunities are often filled with amazing copy and eye catching video testimonials. I know that for the average reader who is new to the internet game can be overwhelmed by the amount of online opportunities. The problem is that these opportunities can be so attractive that we can often lose focus on our ORIGINAL GOALS! To avoid these mistakes I recommend that you should Keep your mind clear of distractions after choosing your online business idea. I also suggest that you follow a proven business model and create a blueprint that is sure to guide you to the next level of your business.  

I always suggest to anyone who is working on a new online business or even a physical business to ALWAYS KEEP FOCUSED ON ONE THING AT A TIME!

Remember that we are only able to accomplish our goals with a solid plan and a focus on realistic goals. If you set your mind on one task at a time then you will be able to complete the project you originally started out with. This has been my practice in the past and still is today. I also recommend that you avoid the naysayers and believe in yourself… I know you can do anything you put your mind to so never stop believing in your dreams because with hard work you will accomplish your goals.

It is funny how life could hand you lemons and the smart man turns the sour into a tasty drink. It is also funny how hardship could bring out the best in some folks also. In life we all have our let downs but the thing that matters most is how we motivate ourselves to accomplish success after let downs. I was once asked, "What motivates me the most in life?"

I always seem to have the same answer which is FAILURE. Let me be clear that I don't like to fail at anything but I sure as hell learn a enough from mistakes not to rinse and repeat. In life you have to order what you want and the Universe will grant your wish if your willing to work for it. This is how I turn my failures into motivational lessons. PPV: Taking Media Traffic on a Date

TAKING MEDIA TRAFFIC ON A FIRST DATE

This week I am planning on trying some new methods in the way I generate traffic. I am trying some things I have not tried in the past. I am testing some new CPA offers and also trying PPV instead of PPC to target some of my leads.

Why you may ask?

I have just researched some case studies and found that PPV was worth trying out so I am going to run some of my own testing. I am still going to work hard on my organic SEO methods with my Niche sites but go a little harder on my CPA offers. I have also joined up with a leading CPA firm recently and looking forward to building a good relationship with them.

I had a good week with some very good advancements in organic traffic and also conversations. I can't wait to see what trying out PPV will do to my stats and overall income. I guess the biggest deal breaker will show after testing PPV as my new source can prove to be a consistent source for my offers.

I might even give you guys some stats and screen shots and share what I found. But for now this is going to be what I am working on in the next weeks to come.  Since I have been really dedicated to organic SEO  I feel that learning this method will help me teach my clients new stuff in the future. I can't leave out what it may contribute to my own knowledge in generating targeted traffic to my offers. I am also going to try direct linking instead of landing pages for the first week and then try landing pages on the 2nd week to see which converts better on particular offers I have in mind. I will discuss the results in a later post. I am very excited with this testing stage so wish me luck guys and I will talk with you soon!

Inspirational Food – Reality Check

I have cooked up another healthy serving of some Inspirational Food for you guys. This post today is something that I feel we all need including myself every now and then. It is about building your finances and eliminating unnecessary debt due to our EGO!!

Sometimes we might make great sales in our businesses and feel that we should reward ourselves to celebrate the victory. The first thing some of us do to reward extra income is go out and splurge on unnecessary things we don’t necessarily need. We purchase cars, electronics and fancy vacations etc.. The sad part about it all is that you quickly find yourself back to square one because of the negligence of not saving your earnings for a rainy day.

The mentality of a broke person is to spend it as soon as you earn it. The mentality of a rich person is to save it and invest it and watch it grow. Now I don’t want you to get me wrong here and think that I am telling you not to have fun with your earnings. In fact I encourage you to live life to the fullest and enjoy this beautiful world God has blessed us with.

I am just saying that we are entrepreneurs and don’t live paycheck to paycheck like typical people. We live life on budgets that will allow us to maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle even when we have grey periods during our slow periods. So growing our business and income is not an option it is a must!

These same principles I speak about is the same practices of A list celebrities and how they live there life. These folks have a hit movie one week and then might not have another hit for a few years later. The reason why many of these celebrities are able to maintain a lifestyle after a big payday is because of wise investments and savings. It is the equivalent of the story we all heard as children about the Ant & the Grasshopper.

If we entrepreneurs plan ahead then we too will enjoy a wonderful lifestyle for years to come. So today I will leave you with the thought of investing in your future. Remember that because we make more money than average folks at times don’t mean we should  spend it all in one day. Save your money and invest wisely and you will live to spend another day.

We have so many challenges in life that sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming. We have jobs, children, bills, health, rent, mortgages, car payments etc.. With all of these obstacles who in the world would want to add to the list of thinking negative or having negative people destroying our focus?  These people are what I call the DREAM KILLERS!! Yes these are the very people who some of us allow into our life’s and they live and feast on robbing you of your right to succeed.

The part that pisses me off the most is some of you allow these people to accomplish their goals. Some of you listen to the naysayers telling you that you can’t achieve your vision because they don’t have one themselves! This is why it is so vital for you to understand your potential early in the game.

You think differently about jobs because you are a LEADER!!! You are not like most people because you are an ENTREPRENEUR my friend!! If you want success in your business you have to sleep, dream and eat this thing for breakfast!! You have to want it bad enough not to allow anyone to stand on your toes and hold you back from greatness.

So today I want you to look into your mirror and tell yourself this exact message.. “I AM GREAT ENOUGH TO SUCCEED IN MY BUSINESS! I WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO HOLD ME BACK FROM MY DREAMS ANYMORE! I WILL WORK HARD AND NEVER EVER GIVE UP ON MY DREAMS! I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR AND PROUD TO BE WHO I AM.”

The Return of Inspirational Food

Hi Everyone!

Last year I started something I want to revisit because of how much it seemed to motivate folks. I called it Inspirational Food. Every Tuesday I would post inspirational content that would deliver positive words of encouragement to newbies and seasoned Internet professionals.

So many marketers online are so focused on just products and sales I wanted to go a different direction. Business starts with caring for your customers first. This approach might not seem as profitable to other marketers, but I look at the bigger picture first. If you take care of your customers and love them, they will without a doubt love you back and stay loyal.

In business we have to be passionate about reaching people who need help. Yes, making thousands of dollars even millions is attractive to most folks, but how attractive is it to God if we don’t love each other? I know you have seen many marketers who would even mention God’s name on their website, but I am not most marketers. My business is about you and helping you to achieve your goals as an entrepreneur and business professional.

This is why it is vital for me to have good karma with God so I too can be successful in teaching you what I know about this game. I not only want to be successful online, but I also want to be successful in saving and keeping my soul too.
